Classes / Workshops

Flat fix class

A simple class designed to teach participants how to fix a flat tire while out on the road. This class will cover removal of both wheels, removal of tires, diagnosis of flat, replacement of tube, and how to properly reassemble the bike. We recommend that all participants bring their own bicycle (or wheels) so we can teach you the most accurate way to fix your bicycle.

On-The-Road Maintenance

This class will teach you all you need to know to get your bike back on the road when you are out on a long ride and something goes wrong. We will cover: Flat fixes, Tubeless repair, chain/shifting systems, brakes, bearing systems, and wheel repairs. This class is not designed to teach you how to give your bike a full tune-up, but how to fix the most common problems that may impact your ride while you are out with limited tooling to get your home.

Participants must bring their own bicycle to the class

Advanced At-Home Maintenance

In this class you will use your own bike to learn how to fix and maintain all parts of your bike. This is a once a week class that will last four weeks. You will need to leave your bicycle at the shop for the entire time as we will be taking it fully apart in the first week, then putting it back together for the remainder of the sessions.

Wheel Building Class

This class is designed to teach a participant how to build a wheel from scratch. This will cover:
- Parts selection and basic differences in hub/rim/spoke technology
- Lacing patterns
- Spoke calculations / cutting / prep
- Physical lacing of a wheel
- Tensioning
- Truing and final wheel inspections
